Det er nå avgjort. Jeg, Hans og hans svoger Sjur drar til Kyrgistan. Avreise blir 18. juli. Vi kommer til å fly med aeroflot, via Moskva til Bishkek. Derfra skal vi ta et lokalfly, kjøre litt jeep, før vi kommer til Pamir Alai området. Der skal vi gå opp i dalen som er avbildet i vedlegget. Karavshin Valley. Vi regner med å ha ca. 20 mulige hoppdager der. Blant annet Peak-4810 har en vertikal/overhengende vegg på 1200 meter! Videre er det bare veldig bratt!!!...Vi må bære med oss alt vi trenger for å overleve tiden oppe i fjellene.Det blir nok tungt med både baseutstyret, og alt det andre. Vi har store forventninger til de lokale rusmidlene, da silkeveien passerer her:) Vi har begge med oss WS, og satser på mye morsom flyging langs veggene. Målsetningen er at vi skal ha det kult. Alle hopp vil komme som en bonus. Vi aner ikke hva som venter oss av eventuell klatring. Hvis turen blir vellykket, satser vi på å orge helitur dit neste år. Reiseoperatørene vi bruker driver med heliskiing. Hjem kommer vi 18. august (hvis vi unngår taliban som ligger i det samme området) . Da satser vi på å legge noen godklipp på Offheading.

The decision have been teaken. Me, Hans and his brother in law Sjur, will go to Kyrgistan the 18th July. The flight goes with Aeroflot via Moscov to Bishkek. From there we will take a local plane and drive a jep til we arrive Pamir Alai area. From there we will hike up the Karavshin Valley. We think we will have around 20 possible jumping days there. It is a big playground, with places like Peak-4810, a vertical overhang wall 1200 meters high with lot more to go!!!"....We will have to carry all the equipement and food needed to survive the trip in the remote mountains. That will be pretty heavy with all the basegeare. Our expectations to the local drugs are high, since the silk-route is passing by that area ;-) Both of us have wingsuits, and hope to get some funky flights lenghtwise the walls. (That's Espens speciality.RED). The intention of the whole trip is to have fun. All jumping will be regarded as a bonus. We do not have any idea of what kind of challenges are awaiting, like if there is alot of climbing and stuff. If the trip result in success, we might try to arrange a helitrip here next year. Our trip coordinators do also arrange heliskiing. We'll be back on the 18th of August (if we avoid confrontations with taliban, that are operating in the same area). Then we hope to contribute Offheading with some nice film clips.
